Etymology[edit]

Inherited from Ottoman Turkish جاذب (cāzib, that draws to itself, that attracts, attractive),[1][2] from Arabic جَاذِب (jāḏib, attractive), active participle of جَذَبَ (jaḏaba, to attract, to captivate).[3]
