dí- (from) +‎ Proto-Celtic *logīti (to lay, causative of *legeti (to lie)), from Proto-Indo-European *logʰ-éye-ti (to lay). Cognate with Welsh go-lo (to cover) and English to lay. See Proto-Indo-European *legʰ-.[1][2]
