Polish ambulance colloquially called erka due to the big "R" (/ɛr/) letter on it.

Etymology[edit]

From r +‎ -ka, in reference to the visible letter "R" on ambulances. It used to refer strictly to resuscitation ambulances but now it is used as a name of all types of ambulances.
