  1. (informal) An exhibitor.

      If it so happens that the music in the film has not been cleared for public performance for profit — in other words, if the exhib is not cleared for publicly performing any ASCAP music in a film — then the exhibitor is right in the way of a $250 infringement per use for each tune or song.
