From Spanish güevedoce, from Dominican Spanish güevos a los doce (testicles at twelve).

guevedoce (plural guevedoces)

  1. (medicine, endocrinology) In the Dominican Republic, an individual born with male gonads, but who appears to have female external genitalia, as a result of a 5-alpha-reductase deficiency. They are often raised as girls until puberty, at which point they develop normal male genitalia.
