ha- (completeness) + -di- (thematic) + -∅- (3rd person subject prefix) + -∅- (classifier)-bin (imperfective stem of root -BĮĮD, “to fill”).

Verb[edit]

hadibin

  1. it fills something up, something gets full of it
    Shikeeʼ tó biiʼ hadéébįįd.
    My shoes got full of water.
    (literally, “Water filled in my shoes.”)
    Hooghan góneʼ hadiibin.
    The house is full of us, we fill the house.

Usage notes[edit]

The subject of this verb refers to the material that fills a container. The container itself is specified with the postposition biiʼ.

It is usually used in the third person, but does also appear in the first person plural.
