imbecila

  1. imbecile, weak-minded

Usage notes[edit]

In essence, both idiota and imbecila have the same meaning. But, the two words are different in nuance. Generally, idiota is used with physically impaired people, while imbecila is not. People described as idiota is not able to think clearly (because of an impairment), but people described as imbecila can, but they are nonsensical and incoherent.
