Usage notes[edit]
- Instead of köszönöm, this phrase is used for thank you if there are several people together expressing their gratitude. Similarly to köszönöm, it can be followed by szépen for more politeness.
- This form also occurs when a verbal prefix is separated from the verb:
- köszönjük (…) meg, meg … köszönjük ― megköszönjük ― megköszön
