nozzer (plural nozzers)

  1. (dated, slang, derogatory) A novice; a newbie.
    • 1943, Henry Taprell Dorling, White Ensigns, page 32:
A minute amount of water was allowed for the operation, and to make matters worse the "nozzers," or novices, usually had their soap and water purloined by those who had been longer on board and knew the ropes.
