Etymology[edit]
Inherited from Ottoman Turkish پاچه (paçe, paça, “a little foot, trotters (generally of sheep), dish prepared from trotters, the lower part of a leg of a pair of trousers or drawers”),[1] from Persian پاچه (pâče, “feet of animals as food, trotters”).[2]
