- A storage organ in orchids, derived from the part of a stem between two leaf nodes.
- 2007 February 8, Leslie Land, “Garden Q.&A.”, in New York Times[1]:
- Remove only dead flowers, not the living bloom stalk, which is actually a pseudobulb commonly called a cane.
