Borrowed from Javanese ꦱꦼꦩ꧀ꦧꦿꦤ (sembrana, nonchalant, careless; rude), from Old Javanese sambarana (careless, indifferent; modest, simple), probably from Sanskrit [Term?]. Reinforced by semantic loan from Dutch roekeloos (reckless) in law terms.
