Etymology[edit]
Affixed diri + se- + meng- (probably through affixed Old Javanese aṅḍiri, aṇḍiri (“to stand; to be functional, to reign; standing alone; outstanding”) instead of Malay diri directly), inherited from Malay sendiri.
