Etymology[edit]

From Proto-Albanian *taišā, continuing Proto-Indo-European *tetḱ-. Related to Lithuanian tiesiù, tiēsti (to make right, to build) and perhaps Ancient Greek τέκτων (téktōn, artisan).[1]
