Etymology[edit]
From Proto-Mon-Khmer *luŋ(h) or *luuŋh; cognate with Khmer លុង (lung). See also lủng (“having a hole, be perforated”) and trũng (“be lower than surrounding surface”). Doublet of lũng.[1]
