unbank (third-person singular simple present unbanks, present participle unbanking, simple past and past participle unbanked)

1. (transitive) To remove a bank from; to open by, or as if by, the removal of a bank.
   • 1842, Henry Taylor, Edwin the Fair:

     We may forget them, ay forget the world,
     Its cares, its kingdoms, and unbank the hours

2. (transitive) To make (a fire) burn up by raking off the ashes from the top, opening draughts, etc.
