2. (in negative sentences, intransitive, or transitive with di) used to express a desire of not coming to know anything about a subject

   Non mi parlare di queste cose! Non ne voglio sapere!

   Don't talk to me about that stuff! I don't want to hear about that!

   Per favore, smetti di raccontarmi di lei. Non ne voglio sapere più niente.

   Please stop telling me about her. I don't want to hear anything about that anymore.

Usage notes

• Alternative forms in negative-sentence enviroments where the preposition di is used include più and niente or nulla:
  • with più (non volerne più sapere, non volerne sapere più)
  • with niente or nulla (non volerne sapere niente (or nulla))
