@Hekaheka Can risti be considered a prefix in this word? The meaning it has in this compound doesn't reflect anything that's currently in the entry. —CodeCat 22:25, 12 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

This, as so many things in linguistics, is a matter of convention. As far as I know, in current mainstream grammatical thinking "risti-" is not regarded a prefix. I guess one could think that the word is used figuratively in this context. Originally, "ristikuulustelu" is probably a calque of the Swedish korsförhör which may have been translated from "cross-examination". --Hekaheka (talk) 23:17, 12 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
