Etymology[edit]
Uncertain. Perhaps from earlier grabolić, from graboła; or perhaps from German grammeln.[1]

gramolić impf (perfective wygramolić)
- (reflexive with się) to lumber up on (to get onto something clumsily or with difficulty) [+ na (accusative) = onto what]
- (reflexive with się) to lumber out (to get out of something or somewhere clumsily or with difficulty)
- (reflexive with się, obsolete) to drag one's feet (to move slowly)
- (transitive, obsolete) to dig up, to rummage (to search something thoroughly and with disregard for the way in which things were arranged)
- (transitive, Middle Polish, nonce word, expressive) to write [+ o (locative) = about whom]
