Etymology 2[edit]
From South Korean MBC TV drama 5th Republic, which the prop group mistakenly used the wrong hanja "小將/小将 (xiǎojiàng)" instead of "少將/少将 (shàojiàng)" for "소장 (少將, sojang, “major general”)" in a nameplate of Chun Doo-hwan. Ultimately from Korean 소장(少將) (sojang).
