Eirikr, soryy to trouble you again, but should kubi in this article be 頸 and not 領? HLHJ (talk) 23:49, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
- @HLHJ: No problem at all. :) Looking at the Kotobank page and the various resources aggregated there, those sources that mention tarikubi all use the 垂領 spelling. My local copy of Daijirin does as well.
- Granted, in the Daijirin entry for tarikubi, agekubi is cross-referenced with the 上頸 spelling. However, I also see at Kotobank that various other sources lemmatize (put the main entry) at the 盤領 spelling instead, and Daijirin lists both spellings in the actual agekubi entry itself. But then, that same 盤領 spelling is also shown for the term marueri as well.
- Japanese can be wonderfully flexible in its spellings. Or maddeningly. :) Depends on one's perspective. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 17:29, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
- A belated thank-you, Eiríkr Útlendi, somehow I missed the notification and just saw this. That clears it up. I recently came across banryo, apparently the square collar used for hifu, azuma-coats, and kimono-coats, though I am not quite sure how those are distinguished, so I might make a Commons category for the collar and shove them all in that.
