A user has added this entry to requests for verification(+) with the reason: “Is there any evidence that this word was actually used in spoken Vietnamese and not one of those words that occurred in Chinese language texts by Vietnamese writers and thus mistaken as being used in Vietnamese itself? All the poems I found where this word occurs are composed in Chinese, otherwise, it's something related to Lệ Chi Viên 荔枝園. A simple search on Vietnamese Wikisource turned up two relevant results, one is a translation of a Chinese text, the other is as lệ chi hoa 荔枝花. Its status as an actual Vietnamese word is still very much questionable.”
