Welsh[edit]
Etymology[edit]
From ymhonni (“to arrogate; to pretend”, from ym- + honni) + -gar.
Pronunciation[edit]
Adjective[edit]
ymhongar (feminine singular ymhongar, plural ymhongar, equative mor ymhongar, comparative mwy ymhongar, superlative mwyaf ymhongar)
Usage notes[edit]
The ng in ymhongar is considered to be two separate letters, n and g, and is pronounced /ŋɡ/. As a result, the word appears after ymholiad in alphabetical order.
