Sakyamuni

Calque of Sanskrit शाक्यमुनि (Śākyamuni, sage of the Śākyas), where शाक्य (Śākya) is read as a derivation of शक् (śak, capable, to be able). Displaced by the transliteration 釋迦牟尼释迦牟尼 (Shìjiāmóuní) in later translations.
