The bottom component is written 王 in simplified Chinese and Japanese (as found in the Kangxi dictionary). However, in traditional Chinese the component is written 𡈼 instead, and in Korean it is written 壬 instead (the topmost horizontal stroke, 丿 slants from upper right towards lower left).

Phono-semantic compound (形聲/形声, OC *rleŋ, *l'eŋs) : semantic 口 + phonetic 𡈼 (OC *l̥ʰeːŋʔ). The bottom component is not to be confused with 壬 (rén) or 王.
